Description:
This dataset provides link-level, hourly speed and volume data for light commercial vehicles (LCV) and heavy commercial vehicles (HCV) trips across Great Britain, derived from GPS observations from over 700k LCV and over 600k HCV, collected by Compass IoT. The metrics are aggregated to hour of day (00:00–23:00) for each OS MasterMap Highways road link. Data cover the month of April 2024. Each record represents a unique link and hour combination with mean speed, 25th, 50th, 75th and 85th percentile speeds, trip count, and total observation count. Records with fewer than 10 observations in a given hour are excluded. Road link geometries are available from Ordnance Survey products such as OS MasterMap Highways, accessible via services including Edina Digimap.
