This dataset provides annual flood exposure indicators for Wales aggregated to LSOA level for 2025. Indicators are derived from Natural Resources Wales Flood Map for Planning data, using Flood Zone 2 and Flood Zone 3 extents.

The dataset contains flood exposure indicators for each LSOA in Wales: data_zone_code, LSOA21CD, country, LSOA21NM, total_area_km2, flooded_area_km2_FZ2and3, flooded_area_km2_FZ3, dummy_flooded, and ratio_flooded_total. The CSV contains tabular data, while the GPKG combines the tabular data with LSOA boundary geometries.

Purpose:
Geometry validity, feature counts, duplicate identifiers, missing values, CRS,
file size, and value ranges were checked before release.
Source:
Flood Zone 2 and Flood Zone 3 polygons from Natural Resources Wales Flood Map for Planning were intersected with Wales LSOA/MSOA boundaries and aggregated to calculate flooded area and exposure ratios. Multiple snapshots within a year were aggregated to annual indicators.
