The data consists of aggregate spend from Barclays UK customers' debit and credit card transactions, direct debit and standing orders payments. This is for retail bank customers only (excluding refunds) and is for 16+ year old individuals aggregated to a minimum of 50 at any aggregation point. The data is collated into the following categories:
- Accommodation
- Custom EV Charging Operators
- Electricity & Gas
- Fuel
- Hotels
- Parking and Tolls
- Public Transport and Coach Lines
- Rail Travel
All the above data will be categorised given a type of demographic distribution (% spend, % transactions, % unique customers) and scaled to provide a view of spending patterns across the UK. The type used are:
